Start by selecting your vase before you choosing your florals to ensure the right match.
Flowers - consider picking florals that are seasonal to keep it distinct. You can either mix complementary colours and varieties or stick to just one shade & variety. Don’t forget to add greenery for texture.
Cut the stems at an angle about an inch from the bottom. (You may need to cut them shorter to suit vase.) Remove any leaves that will sit below the water level of the vase.
Start by adding your greenery working in a circle, turning the vase as you go to ensure symmetry.
Next add fillers for a full, lush look (do not overdo them, just a few). “We prefer using herbs as fillers to help enhance the scent,” Gerald Muema, Head Florist at Artcaffé Market notes.
Finally add in your pièce de résistance, your focal flower (roses, lillies), “I like arranging my flowers in this spiral way because it ensures your main flower is complimented in a fun, regal way”.
