SOAVE DOC CLASSIC BOTTEGA Soave wine would seem to be named after the municipality of the same name founded by the Lombards, also called Swabians (Suaves). It was, in 1931, among the first Italian wines to be the subject of a decree limiting its production area and was the first DOC area in veneto when, in 1968, the controlled designation of origin 'Soave Superiore' was recognized. The use of the term "Classico" is reserved for the product obtained by vinifying native grapes grown on the hilly hills of the municipalities of Soave and Monteforte, in which there is the "classic area" or the historical one, original and of the oldest tradition for this wine.
